    Training Courses

    Department of Foreign Affairs and Internatinal Trade (DFAIT) of Canada: We provided training in field video and video for the Internet for foreign service staff working in Afghanistan enabling them to bring back video for a special Canada in Afghanistan website.
    International Centre for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF): Baobab has conducted an introductory course in video production and editing for staff of the Communications and Publications division of this Nairobi-based research institute.
    Statistics Canada: Baobab provided an innovative, hands-on training program in script writing for members of the Statistics Canada team developing training materials for use in China.
    International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA): IITA senior researchers at the Humid Forest Station in Yaounde, Cameroon as well as communications staff at the Ibadan, Nigeria HQ of this institute used Baobab's program to learn the basics of digital video.
    International Crops Research Institute for the Semi Arid Tropics (ICRISAT): Baobab has helped ICRISAT set up a digital video network to document research programs and expand the public awareness capacity of the institute.
    International Rice Research Institute (IRRI - Los Baños, The Philippines): Baobab worked with IRRI training staff to create a four week program designed to help agriculture extension staff in south-east Asia improve their skills in producing training videos. 
    Interpaks Program, University of Illinois: We participated in a special course in Organizational Communications designed for agricultural extension workers in developing countries. 
    Ministry of Agriculture, People's Republic of China, Beijing: In conjunction with IRRI, Baobab conducted an intensive two week refresher production course for the National Agricultural Technical Extension Service Center in Beijing. 
    International Center for tropical Agriculture (CIAT - Cali, Colombia): Baobab has provided training workshops for staff in the CIAT Communications Unit. 
    Carleton University School of Journalism: Every year, Baobab presents a special seminar  to Master's degree journalism students on the subject of working with highly portable video gear in developing countries. 
    Canadian Crossroads International: Baobab has conducted video production workshops for Canadian interns travelling abroad with this NGO.
